Job Description

We are looking for someone to assist with the operations and product development in our Africa and Asia departments. The ideal candidate will be highly organised and efficient with excellent attention to detail, and be a motivated self-starter, who is capable of assisting the Product Manager. We are looking for someone with a background in the travel industry and good geographical knowledge of Africa and Asia, with travel industry experience in operations and/or product.

This is an exciting and varied position which will evolve as this part of the business grows, so a flexible working attitude and willingness to pitch in and help with different projects as they arise is key.


  • Supporting the Product Manager in relation to creation, content writing, proofreading, contracting, pricing, analysis, systems and general administration of products
  • Ensuring that all our product is up to date in our central system and assisting with loading and updating new or revised products
  • Keeping up to date with products in your area and training the sales team of new products
  • Compiling competitor analysis when required
  • Assisting the marketing team with any product-related material required


  • Organising all logistics for our Africa and Asia small group departures
  • Maintaining high standards in respect to customer service with our local partners
  • Assisting with distributing branding to our overseas partners
  • Issuing and finalising contracts with specialist leaders
  • Assisting with any client issues, including taking the out-of-hours phone on a rota basis as and when required


The successful candidate will demonstrate the following skills and experience:

  • Excellent working knowledge of Excel (and the rest of the Microsoft Office programs), as well as Google Drive, Google Docs and Google Sheets
  • Proficient computer skills and the ability to learn new software products is a must
  • At least 2 years experience in an operations and/or product role in the travel industry
  • Experience with entering products into a database, proofreading and costings
  • Ability to work to deadlines; using own initiative to manage a heavy workload with at times conflicting priorities
  • Knowledge of Sub Saharan Africa and Asia (India, Sri Lanka and Borneo) with some travel experience (preferred)
  • Excellent communication skills; written and spoken English
  • Ability to work in a fast-moving and ever-changing environment
  • A proactive approach; a ‘can-do’ attitude
  • Passion for wildlife 


£20,000 - £30,000 (flexible, subject to experience)
